Events – Archbold Area Chamber of Commerce

The Archbold Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to welcome seven new businesses into our Chamber of Commerce! To celebrate their arrival, we’re hosting a special St. Patrick’s Day Celebration on March 17th, bringing together local residents, business owners, and community leaders for an evening of networking, entertainment, and fun.

So far, the Chamber has experienced remarkable growth, and the addition of these seven businesses is a testament to Archbold’s expanding economic landscape. Each of these businesses brings something unique to our town, contributing to the diversity and vitality of our local economy.

Luxe Beauty Lounge – Offers a variety of hair, skin, and nail services!
Archbold Community Garden – Provides fresh produce for the community and also offers classes for community members to learn more about gardening!
Lauber Insurance – An independent, full-servicee agency, with access to over 50 insurance companies!
CHP Home Care & Hospice – Delivers skilled home health nursing, hospice, inpatient hospice, home health aides, adult day centers, physical, occupational, and speech therapy, and other related services!
Downtown Restaurant – Casual restaurant offering burgers and other comfort foods, plus a bar and a patio.
Casa Veija – A Mexican Restaurant serving authentic Mexican cuisine!
Astral Health & Beauty Bar/Astral Shop & Lounge – Esthetics, makeup, massages, hair, nails, and a coffee bar!

We invite the entire community to come out and celebrate with us! The St. Patrick’s Day Celebration will take place at Downtown Restaurant from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Guests can enjoy live music from Steve Kennedy, Irish-themed refreshments, Planko with prizes, and networking opportunities.

Get To Know... Black Swamp...

The Black Swamp Arts Center officially opened its doors on November 29, 2024, bringing an exciting new space dedicated to visual, performing, and literary arts to Northwest Ohio. With a mission to promote and make the arts accessible to all, the Black Swamp Arts Center aims to enrich the lives of the community through creative expression.

The multipurpose arts center serves as a gallery, event venue, and educational space, offering opportunities for individuals of all ages to engage with the arts. Whether through exhibitions, workshops, or performances, the Black Swamp Arts Center fosters a dynamic environment that encourages creativity and appreciation for the arts.

The Black Swamp Arts Council has been a pillar of arts advocacy for 25 years, and through the Arts Center, they continue their dedication to fostering artistic growth. Their programs include: High School Art Shows showcasing young talent, a free educational ensemble for area 4th graders, scholarships for summer enrichment programs, co-sponsoring the Toledo Symphony at Sauder Village, and a summer creative arts camp for children aged 6-12.

The Black Swamp Arts Center is hosting an Invitational High School Art Show, featuring works from 12 schools running from March 19th to April 10th. Other offerings include: After-school art programs, Saturday Morning Creativity Club, Stained glass classes and Pottery classes. Having a downtown presence serves as a reminder of how art enhances everyday life. Whether through music, movies, posters, or paintings, art brings joy and connection. You don’t have to be a professional to create—art is for everyone!
